Will you provide periodic updates?
The Guardware Product Update Manager offers you several options for getting periodic software updates. These update options include daily, weekly, or monthly (refer to Section 6.6). The Guardware Product Update Manager is free and comes installed with iShield.
Will iShield work for dial-up, cable, LAN, DSL, and wireless connections?
Yes, iShield works for all computer browsing, irrespective of the connection speed or delivery method.
Can iShield save different settings for different users, such as small children, older children, or parents?
No. iShield allows you to choose different options for different age groups. For example, Active Block, Active Warn, or Passive all have different levels of protection (refer to Section 6.3).
Will iShield filter search-engine searches; e.g., sex on Google?
How about hotmail.com or other email providers? How can I stop email?
If iShield detects that you have forgotten your password, it asks you to answer your personal question it has saved in its files. If you answer the question correctly, the system emails you your password. You supplied the system with the question and answer when you registered your software and entered your password (refer to Section 4.1).
What if some pictures, deemed to be acceptable, are blocked by iShield?
If this occurs regularly with a particular site that you know to be acceptable, you can add that Web site address to the White List (refer to Section 6.4).
If this occurs sporadically across a number of sites, you can try decreasing the image analyzer stringency criteria by moving the slider to a lower setting; e.g., from Safer to Safest (refer to Section 6.2).
What if some pictures, deemed to be unacceptable, are not blocked by iShield?
If this occurs regularly with a particular site, add that Web site address to the Black List (refer to Section 6.2).
