How it Works Control Panel Flexibility Activity Report Disk Scan
 
The Control Panel is used to configure the way in which the iShield™ Plus detection engine will operate, and to view and analyze any events in the Incident Reports.
 
Password Protected Control Panel
 
 
 
   
Administrative Functions
   
 
Change Password:
allows you to change your iShield Plus control panel password.
View Reports:
allows you to view reports of the captured incidents.
Sites:
Black and White Lists - this function enables you to specify websites that you always want to be blocked or want to allow unrestricted access to.
Scan:
scan your hard drive for potentially pornographic images and videos.

Profiles
   
For ease of use, iShield Plus comes with five predefined profiles that can be customized:
 
Default
Adult
Teenage
Child
Off

Profile Settings
   
 
Engine Switch:
Enable or disable the iShield Plus detection engine on the PC.
Protection Setting:
Change the sensitivity of the monitoring engine to inappropriate content.
Enabled Browsers:
Displays the supported browsers that have been detected on your computer and provides a means for disabling unsupported browsers.

General Settings
   
 
Only Allow White Listed Websites: Restrict of Internet surfing to a limited set of web-pages.

Surfing Time:
Restrict Internet surfing to a certain days and times.
Instant Messaging:
Monitor Instant Messaging and Chat sessions.
Visibility:
Change the visibility of iShield™ Plus in the system tray.
P2P:
Restrict the usage of Peer-to-Peer (P2P) file sharing applications.

Monitoring Settings
   
To change the action taken by iShield Plus on the detection of inappropriate content select the modes for browser and screen monitor as appropriate, see below.
 
Block:
Block the image or block the entire page when inappropriate content is detected.
Warn:
Display a warning message when inappropriate content is detected.
Passive:
Silently record when inappropriate content is detected.
Off:
No action is taken when inappropriate content is detected.

Categories of Content
   
iShield Plus enables you to select which categories of potentially inappropriate material are monitored and/or blocked in web-pages in addition to pornographic content.
 
Monitor:
Dating, Drugs, Gambling, Hacking, Hate & Discrimination, Lingerie, Murder & Suicide, Tabasco& Alcohol, Vulgarity, and Weaponry
